How to Get Rid of Flab

I am one of those individuals who was once thin, with a robust metabolism and a healthy exercise regimen. Then college happened and all of that began to fade. A few years into a career and my toes have almost faded too. Recently I decided that I needed to learn how to get rid of flab, lest I suffer through a future of elastic waist bands and shirts made from circus tents. I researched the topic thoroughly, and what I found is that getting rid of flab isn’t as confusing as the obese weight-loss industry would have us believe. Losing weight is a common sense endeavor that demands only that we move more and eat less. Fewer calories must go in than are expended each day. That being said, there are some things to consider. For example, how much exercise is enough? How many pounds can be safely shed in a week? What kinds of foods should we, the flabby, look for? Uncover the fruits (and vegetables) of my labors to discover a no-nonsense method for getting rid of flab.

How to Get Rid of Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease caused by an infection of the bacteria neisseria gonorrhoeae. Gonorrhea is most common in people between the ages of 15 and 29. Perhaps it’s time to rethink the abstinence-only sexual education plan. The use of condoms greatly reduces the risk of getting gonorrhea. The bacteria that cause gonorrhea infections in the penis and vagina can also cause infections in the eye, throat, and anus. Gonorrhea can also be spread during childbirth as the baby passes through the vagina. Gonorrhea infections in newborns can cause permanent damage like blindness. Getting rid of gonorrhea is fairly simple process. Click here to read the full article “How to Get Rid of Gonorrhea“. Please feel free to ask any questions.

How to Get Rid of Firebrats

So you feel the need to get rid of some firebrats. Well, I can accept that. In fact, I can even embrace that. Because, even though I think they’re cool as hell, I also know that they can be rather destructive. They have an appetite for anything. That is, as long as it’s not intended for them and you don’t want it damaged. Your prized possessions? Yeah. Those are their favorites. Be it old baseball cards, stamps, that first edition Playboy Magazine. They also have quite a fondness for books. The more valuable the better. They also enjoy all your favorite snack foods. Probably even more than you do. Lets face it, they have good taste. Too bad for them. How to Get Rid of Firebrats is a pretty extensive article on firebrat control and prevention. Have a look.

How to Clean Brass

<!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --

Now that’s one dirty piece of brass. Ha! That’s funny if you’re me. Anyway, Nils, a good friend of mine and a fellow contributor to the websites, had this dirty ass brass cat statue thing. I’d been staring at this jaguar/leopard/panther for years before I finally felt compelled to do a little something about its appearance. I had cleaned brass before so I knew it wouldn’t be difficult or take much time or money. What I didn’t know was how many ways there were to do it. It’s unbelievable. And they’re all easy. Since cleaning that little cat statue I’ve been feeling compelled to spend six straight days going to garage sales and antique shops looking for grimy little brass things that other people have deemed worthless and giving them a little face lift. It’s actually kind of fun to clean brass. Especially when the object you started with is really tarnished and the final product looks like something completely different. I’m not saying the brass cat was that bad, but it did need some attention. If you’re curious to see how it turned out, check out this article on How to Clean Brass.

How to Get Rid of Mushrooms

Mushrooms are one of those things that some people love and others hate. Personally I love to eat mushrooms. But then, this article mostly deals with the inedible and occasionally poisonous variety. Fungus have a very important role in the ecosystem. They love to eat things that are high in nutrients, like rotting trees, leaves, poop and other detritus. If it weren’t for fungus there would be a lot more stuff piled up on the forest floor. If you have mushrooms showing up in your lawn it is probably because there are too many nutrients there, from over fertilizing. Along with too much moisture, from over watering. These are the two most important variable for fungus to live and reproduce. Since mushrooms are not the fungus itself and just the fruiting bodies, mushrooms wont show up if the fungus is not getting enough to eat and drink. Unlike humans, plants and fungus usually only reproduce when things are going well and they can afford to expend the energy to do so. Read the full article on how to get rid of mushrooms and let me know if you have any questions.

In the past few years there has been a lot of talk about Human Papillomavirus or HPV. It seems that they figured out that 96% of all cases of cervical cancer are caused by HPV. So they began encouraging women to get yearly pap smears and eventually they developed a vaccine. The vaccine guards against four strains of HPV, the ones that cause the most outbreaks. Unfortunately the vaccine is only for women and not for men yet which is kind of a bummer. HPV is the cause for all warts, not just genital warts. The warts on your hands and planters warts too. We can all expect to get HPV at some point in our lifetimes. But, it’s not that big of a deal. Many people have HPV and don’t even know it because it doesn’t manifest itself.  HPV is gone in 91% of all infected people after 2 years. So what’s the big deal? Read the full article here, and let me know what you think.
