Get Rid of Gout

Though gout is one of the most treatable forms of arthritis, it is also extremely painful. Most sufferers would agree that the above artist knew what he was doing. An acute gout attack is not unlike having a small, moustachioed demon chewing on you.  Sufferers complain that even the weight of clothes or a bed sheet will drive them to madness. Most of the time, gout attacks the large joint of the big toe (as pictured), but it can show up in the hands, feet, and elbows. Recently, because of a family member’s gout outbreak, I’ve been researching how to get rid of gout. I found that gout pain is caused by uric acid that has crystalized and lodged in a joint. Individuals with gout either produce too much uric acid or excrete too little.  I also found that, though there are no gout cures, there are many practical ways to manage gouty arthritis. Mostly, it’s about making likestyle changes. For example, to get rid of gout, most people will have to cut back on or completely abstain from alcohol. I would find this hard, but gout pain is a great motivator. Follow any link to learn more about the moustachioed gout demon, the gout diet, gout medications, and how to manage this painful disease.

Get Rid of Cramps

Muscle cramps are the worst. I’ve never actually had one, not that I can remember (and according to everything I’ve read, I’d remember), but because I have a fully functioning imagination, I can say this to those of you who get muscle cramps: I’m so, so sorry. In fact, I’m so sensitive to the plight of the cramps-afflicted runner (or biker, or mother-to-be, or sleeper) that I want to help. Unfortunately, medical science has yet to provide solid support for any of its theories regarding what causes cramps or what can be done to prevent them. But theories abound anyway, many of them supported by a great deal of anecdotal evidence from doctors and patients who have succeeded in getting rid of cramps. So I’ve compiled the most common and seemingly logical techniques for both treating and preventing cramps in my latest article, “How to Get Rid of Cramps.” I hope you’ll take a look.

Sweet dreams and happy trails.

How to Clean a Grill

I gave myself a lesson in cleaning a grill the other night. My grill, that is being babysat by my brother since I can’t have it at my apartment, hadn’t been cleaned in at least three years. And let me tell you, it was ugly. There were at least two inches of charred crap that had built up in the bottom of the thing and enough grease coating the walls to lubricate a whole army of Tin Men. Luckily, remembering how to clean a grill is like…well…that whole bike thing. It’s simple. It doesn’t take terribly long either. Which is fantastic since I got to my brother’s house about 30 minutes before sunset. That gave me just barely enough time for grill cleaning. You will see by the procession of pictures in this article that I was rapidly running out of light. Needless to say, I was a little rushed and could have done a better job had I gotten there about a half an hour earlier. But my real reason for being there that day was to teach you the best way to clean a grill. The steps for cleaning a grill that are found in this article are laid out clearly and will tell you exactly what you need to know for grill cleaning.

You’re awake, but you allow your alarm to grow more and more alarming. To stay under the covers would be best, but you know that’s not possible. How to Clean a Bowl

If you want to learn how to clean a bowl, you’re either pretty new to smoking pot or you’ve been smoking joints and eating brownies. Bowls, pipes, and bongs are great, efficient ways to enjoy marijuana; however, the marijuana resin that builds up in such pieces can be vexing. It ruins the taste. It looks disgusting. It interferes with your bowl’s ability to deliver a truly epic hit. Worst of all, it bonds to your bowl like cement. So what do you do? Well, you could go and buy a commercial bowl cleaner. Those products work well. However, I can teach you how to clean a bowl using several popular methods that cost almost nothing. Follow any of the links and you’ll be smoking from a clean bowl once again.

Get Rid of Poison Oak Rash

I used to think I was immune to poison oak. Last summer, after playing a round of disk golf, I found out otherwise. I had unknowingly walked through a large patch of poison oak, and because I was wearing shorts, I got the plant’s noxious oil, urushiol, all over my legs. The itching that comes with a poison oak rash is maddening. I searched everywhere for ways to keep from manually removing my dermis. Besides the itching, I was horrific to look at. During a large meeting at work, I caught a handful of collegues staring at my blisters. “Look, it’s pulsating,” I heard them whisper. Through my ordeal I’ve become something of an expert. I know that there are no medicines or treatments that will get rid of poison oak overnight; you have to let your skin heal. However, in my article on how to get rid of poison oak, you’ll learn about the most effective methods to soothe the rash, blisters, or hives that come with urushiol exposure.  You can also learn what poison oak looks like; the effort of prevention is much easer than having to get rid of a poison oak rash.
